“The relief that you feel in the arms of your mother is perhaps the only thing that can’t be measured”
#blurb: Sanjana’s best friend at college is murdered. She was in love with a business tycoon named Nik Sethi, and Sanjana is certain that he killed her. In an effort to find proof, she decides to get close to him.
Good looking and rich, Nik falls in love with Sanjana instantly, but a month later, when he accidently discovers her real agenda, he throws her out of his life. Determined to nail him, Sanjana’s desperation exceeds all limits when she realizes that she too, like her friend, has fallen in love with a killer.
After she escapes an attack one night, Sanjana quits college and goes into hiding. Now her only ambition is to punish the killer and her only weapon is her body. In a last, desperate attempt, she uses herself as bait and pursues her best plan. There are only two options: she becomes a victim or she becomes a victor.
Through the story of Sanjana and Nik, In Love With Simran explores the boundaries of the basic instincts of the young: love, sex, trust and survival.

Simran is a normal college going girl in love with a boy named Nik Sethi. Suddenly one day her best friend Sanjana comes to know that Simran has been murdered and stabbed to death. Moreover it comes to light that Simran was pregnant with Nik’s baby. Sanjana is quite sure that Nik is the murderer and decides to unveil him. She takes up an internship at a magazine called Health and You. She goes to interview Nik who is a well known business person and hopes to find some clue regarding the murder. But in the process of her investigation she starts to have romantic feelings for Nik.On the other hand she is warned by people close to Nik that she is his next target. Is Nik really the mureder? Or is someone setting him up? Will Sanjana’s closeness to Nik lead her to be murdered next?
The book is an easy read with a intriguing plot which keeps you on the edge of your seat. Filled with twists and turns it can be finished in a single sitting. Mixed with elements of suspense the book also focuses on the unstable and delusional psychological states of its characters. The writing style is gripping and the cast of characters are well built. My favourite character from the book is Sanjana, she is a bold and courageous girl for whom her best friend’s happiness means everything. She does not step back from risking her life to find out the real culprit. Overall it is an enthralling read and keeps you guessing till the end. I would highly recommend this book to all the lovers of thriller out there.
