My review: 🌟🌟🌟

The book is about a 17 year old girl named Ashley who lives with her parents. She is a simple girl who is not able to make steady relationships in life. She has only one friend name Jess who is also her best friend and cares for her a lot. Jess understands Ashley in ways no one else can. But Ashley’s life changes dramatically when she befriends a ghost name Alex who came to haunt her. Suddenly one day Alex goes missing and this leads Ashley to Incensa, the world of lost souls, demi gods, sphinxes and reapers on her mission to save Alex who is supposedly being punished for falling in love with her.But eventually Ashley realizes that she has been tricked here to use her soul and finds herself amid wars of betrayal. Hope is the only thing she is left with which can bring her back to the world of mortals.

It is a YA fantasy where relationships between the living and the dead have been explored. The book has been written in a first person point of view i.e, Ashley’s but at times it also shifts to third person i.e, the views of the other acquaintances of Ashley in Incensa. The story is intriguing and keeps you wanting to know what is going to happen next.Though at times I felt that there should have been a little more depth to the story, I wanted to know more about the characters, moreover there were several typos which distracted me. But it being a debut novel the author surely deserves appreciation for coming up with such a highly imaginative and unique storyline. The book is a easy read and will surely appeal to the young readers of YA fiction with a liking for fantasy and after-life.

P.S. I am in love with the cover of the book😍
