The story is about a girl named Daisy who has been living with her grandmother since her childhood after her parents abandoned her. She shared a strong loving bond with her granny and was completely shattered after her death. But to Daisy’s surprise she left her a treasure box in which Daisy discovered a genie named Khalil trapped in a bottle. Khalil had to grant Daisy three wishes for his release but destiny had something else planned for them..an extraordinary love story started to brew between them. The genie fell in love with the human! They both drew to each other like a moth to a flame in spite of knowing that the future was dark as one day Khalil had to go back to his genie land.
But their love was too strong.So after overcoming various predicaments Khalil finally decided to stay back in the human world for his Daisy if she promised never to ask him for her third wish. But unfortunately happy ending was not in their fate. Suddenly Daisy’s friend Darren, who always seemed to be like a third wheel in their story fell sick and was diagnosed with cancer. So to save Darren’s life Daisy had no other choice left! She asked Khalil for her third wish and brought back Darren out of the jaws of death. But after Khalil’s departure a surprise awaited for Daisy which would change her life forever.
Overall it was a quick and easy one time read with a very catchy plot which brings back the memories of Arabian Nights.The author surely deserves appreciation for such a unique concept, an extraordinary love story which wells up your heart.The story leaves us at a point with better hopes for Daisy and Khalil in the future making us wait eagerly for a sequel.
